Farris Engineering welcomed Meisam Sedighi to its electrical department in March of this year. He brings close to 15 years of electrical engineering experience and is a registered professional engineer in three states.

Meisam holds two master’s degrees: Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Florida and Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. He is also certified in LEED AP Building Design & Construction with expertise in the design and construction phases of green buildings, serving the commercial, residential, education and healthcare sectors.

Most of Meisam’s focus throughout his career has been in the design of substations, and medium, high rise, and industrial facilities in the Midwest and on both coasts. As Senior Power Systems Engineer, he will be responsible for: power system analysis for distribution system including load flow, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using SKM and ETAP; power system analysis for transmission system including transients like overvoltage and harmonics; and design of industrial facilities which require arrangements with other disciplines including mechanical, civil and structural.

When not at work, he can be found enjoying nature or hanging out with a group of friends.
