We send a solid congratulations to Derek, electrical engineer in our Omaha office, who successfully passed the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) examination. Derek began his career with Farris Engineering in 2015 as electrical engineer intern. Since then, he has accumulated a wealth of experience on healthcare, education, commercial and government projects, and has been an integral member of our electrical engineering department.
Passing the PE exam permits Derek to become a licensed professional engineer, an endeavor which requires years of study and practice. In order to obtain a license from the state engineering board, all applicants must complete a four-year college degree in engineering, have at least four years of experience under the supervision of a professional engineer, and pass the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and PE exams.
Well done Derek and thank you for being a part of our team!
