Farris Engineering’s Ryan McPhillips has become a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) McPhillips, PE, LEED AP, has been an electrical engineer based in the Farris Lincoln office since 2014. An RCDD demonstrates knowledge in the design, implementation, integration and project management of telecommunications and data communications technology and related building infrastructure.

The certification standards are set by Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI). Among his many notable projects, McPhillips was involved in transforming the former UNL Love Library North into the Learning Commons, a bright and comfortable digital learning, study and collaboration center available 24 hours a day to Husker students. McPhillips earned his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He and his family live in Lincoln.
