Farris Engineering has announced its board of directors that were elected by the firm’s employee-owners for a one-year term. They include seven incumbents and one new member. The incumbents are as follows:

Matt Morrissey – Vice President
Ericka Nienhueser – Vice President
Stephen Roitsch – Chairman of the Board and Vice President

Newly elected board member and Vice President Ashley Davis joined Farris’ Colorado Springs office in 2015. As a registered mechanical engineer since 2012, she has over 16-years of experience in design engineering and project management, including 10 with other firms. Ashley has been involved in the design and coordination of government, military, education, commercial and research facilities, and her work encompasses new construction, remodel design, and as-built documentation.

After completing the exam to become a registered fire protection engineer in 2017, Ashley has been mentored by current board member Donna Kohlan on fire protection and life safety design. She is currently a board member of the Pikes Peak Chapter of ASHRAE and is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers and Society of Fire Protection Engineers.

“I was excited and hopeful when I learned I had been elected to the board of directors,” Ashley said. “I look forward to being involved in the business decisions of the company, learning more about operations at Farris headquarters, and supporting growth of the company by the direction of my fellow coworkers.”
